Tas: Suspicious house fire in northern Tasmania

LAUNCESTON, Tas, Aug 19 AAP - Police are treating a fire at a vacant house in northern
Tasmania as suspicious.

The fire occurred about 11.45pm (AEST) yesterday in Georgetown, north of Launceston.

Damage is estimated at $300,000.

Investigations by the Tasmania Police and Fire Service are continuing.

Anyone with information relating to the fire is asked to call Crime Stoppers or the
Northern CIB on 03 6336 3911.
