NT:Six killed in Alice Springs car smash

Six people have been killed and one critically injured .. after a car rolled near Alice Springs.

The accident occurred just after 10.30 last night on Larapinta Drive .. Hermannsburg
.. about 50 kilometres west of Alice Springs.

The injured person has been taken hospital .. and investigations into the cause of
the crash are underway.

The Northern Territory's road toll is now 54 .. compared with 42 at the same time last year.
